Why Japanese Yamaashi Selvedge?

Japan Denim was born 50 years ago in the Kojima district of Kurashiki City in southern Okayama Prefecture. The Kojima area has long been known as a center of the textile industry, and Japan Denim is produced here.
The denim produced in Kojima is dyed in a beautiful dark indigo, giving it the name “Japan Blue” because of its unique hue.

High-quality selvedge denim is made using Japanese production techniques and looms that the Japanese have collected and refurbished from a number of old looms, and their fabrics are leading the world. And it all began with the enthusiastic desire of young denim lovers who admired the beauty comes with age created by the depth and sturdiness of denim from the days when it was made on American looms. Our denim is also made unevenly and sturdily to create depth by multiple looms that were thought to be unregenerable, but have been regenerated into a single loom by craftsmen here in Japan.
